OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
ABEX Management Services is committed to providing, so far as
it is practicable, the highest standards of Occupational Health, Safety and
Welfare for all of its employees.
This will be achieved by ensuring that appropriate resources
and efforts are effectively directed to workplace accident and injury
prevention.
Our Company goal is to eliminate or make negligible any work
related injury or illness measured as a percentage of total annual hours worked.
At a minimum, all project related work is to attain a result that is well less
than half of the industry standard for the industries in which we work and is to
continue to reduce this target with an aim to eliminate all work related
injuries or illnesses.
ABEX Management Services and its employees shall comply with
all relevant legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards as well as other
requirements placed upon it by its Clients and go beyond those requirements
where necessary to achieve a safe, productive and healthy workplace.
We will assess the effects of our activities and integrate
health and safety considerations into all aspects of planning, operations and
process management decisions. This may typically be achieved through the
appropriate identification, management and mitigation of Occupational Health,
Safety and Welfare risk at workplaces and processes of which ABEX Management
Services has control.
ABEX Management Services deems it to be the responsibility of
all employees to act always to minimise health and safety risks to themselves
and others, and to advise management promptly of any perceived Occupational
Health, Safety or Welfare issues. Further, every employee has an important and
responsible role in accident and injury prevention and is required to
participate in improving standards of work-place health and safety not only for
themselves but also for other employees and the public.
